Chroma-Codex is an alpha, hobbyist-oriented platform for miniature painting enthusiasts. By accessing or using the service, you agree to these Terms of Service.
The service is operated by Roberto Pizziol. You can contact the operator at chroma-codex@proton.me.
The service is not intended for users under 16 years of age. By using Chroma-Codex, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old.
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without any warranties of uptime, continuity, or that user content will be preserved. Features, functionality, and data management practices may change at any time during alpha.
Patterns, images, and text you create or upload (“User Content”) are your responsibility. You confirm you have the rights to upload and publish your User Content and that it does not infringe the rights of others or violate applicable laws.
By submitting User Content to Chroma-Codex, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, reproduce, process, and display your User Content for the purpose of operating the service and making your patterns available publicly. This includes the ability to sublicense to our infrastructure and service providers (such as hosting and storage providers) solely as needed to operate the service.
This license lasts for as long as your content is stored and made available through the service, unless removed by you or otherwise removed due to policy enforcement.
Published patterns are made available for personal, non-commercial reference (for example, exporting a PDF for your own painting use). Reproducing, redistributing, or publishing another author's pattern content outside Chroma-Codex without their permission is not allowed.
You agree not to:
Chroma-Codex may unpublish user-submitted patterns at its discretion. Grounds for unpublishing include illegal content, spam, content unrelated to miniature painting, copyright infringement, and content that is abusive or harmful to other users.
Unpublishing removes a pattern from public view but does not delete it: the pattern remains in the author's workshop and the author retains access to it.
The author is notified by email, and that notification states the reason for the decision. The author may contest the decision by replying to that notification email; contested decisions are reviewed and the pattern is republished if the objection is upheld.
We may suspend or terminate accounts and remove User Content in our reasonable discretion if we believe there is misuse, abuse, legal risk, or a violation of these Terms.
Separately from any suspension or removal initiated by Chroma-Codex, you may close or delete your own account at any time via account settings.
You acknowledge that this is an alpha product and enforcement may be limited or subject to change.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chroma-Codex and its operator are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the service, including losses of data or content.
Nothing in this section excludes or limits liability for willful misconduct or gross negligence, where such exclusion would not be permitted under applicable law.
Chroma-Codex currently offers only free features; EU withdrawal rights do not apply as no payment is involved. This section will be updated if paid features are introduced.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy. Any disputes will be handled in courts with jurisdiction in Italy.
The choice of Italian law does not deprive consumers of any mandatory protections they are entitled to under the law of their country of residence, where EU consumer protection law applies. EU consumers also retain the right to bring proceedings before the courts of their own country of residence, in accordance with applicable consumer protection rules.

These Terms may be updated from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
